Group from Indian Government Visited Y&S for Settling Anti-dumping Case

To settle the anti-dumping case against Chinese hard resin lenses, a group from Ministry of Commerce & Industry (Department of Commerce), Government of India visited Y&S from Nov. 10 to 14, 2003. Visitors including Mr. Susanta S. Das, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade and Mr. G. G. Mitra, Assistant Director.


After their visiting to Y&S (Tianjin) Industries Ltd. - Beijing Office on Nov. 10, Ms. Liu Fang, Deputy Division Director of Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports & Exports (BOFT), Ministry of Commerce of Chinese government had meeting with Mr. Das, Mr. Mitra together with Mr. Yang Shu, General Manager of Y&S (Tianjin) Industries Ltd. in the meeting room of China Ministry of Commerce on Nov. 11.


The group from Indian government visited Y&S (Danyang) Optics Ltd. and Golden Dragon Optics Ltd. in Jiangsu province on Nov. 14, 2003 together with Mr. Devesh Gupta, CEO of Indian Optics Pvt. Ltd. and Mrs. Reena Khair (Attorney at Law). They checked whole process of making CR-39 hard resin lenses carefully and had meeting with both production management people and accounting people. Mr. Along Zeng, General Manager of Y&S (Danyang) Optics Ltd. attended the meeting.


Y&S and its customers are trying their best to cooperate with government of India and China to settle this anti-dumping case earlier.
